Continuing Education Information
Continuing Education Process
- Attendee completes electronic registration on the UMMC Conference site prior to or day of the conference.
- Attendee must register upon arrival at the conference. Attendees will receive a badge with a unique QR code and will check in for each session by scanning their badge upon entrance and prior to the start of each session and/or on the Conference Attendee Hub mobile application.
- Attendee will complete the session evaluations online through the Attendee Hub mobile application or on a computer. Links to the session evaluations will be available at the end of each session on the Attendee Hub mobile application or on a computer and will not be live until the conclusion of each session.
- Attendees will have access to session evaluations for 14 days after the conclusion of the event, or until midnight on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Upon conclusion of this timeframe, the Conference chairperson or designee will review files for accuracy and completeness.
Session evaluations must be completed in order to receive CE credit. Technical assistance will be made available to Conference Participants upon request on-site by contacting a member of The MIND Center team as well as post-event by contacting The MIND Center at mindcenter@umc.edu or (601) 815-4237.
CE Certificates: Conference planners are utilizing software to track participant attendance of each session as well as session evaluation completion. Links to individual session evaluations are made available through the Conference Attendee Hub application at the conclusion of each session. CE Certificates will NOT be available unless a participant completes the corresponding session evaluation. At the conclusion of the conference, participants will receive an email containing instructions to access their CE Certificate. This link will be active for up to 90 days. After 90 days, participants will be able to access their CE Certificate by contacting the Conference Chair. A PDF of the CE Certificate can be emailed to the participant if needed after the individual link closes. Certificates will contain the language required by respective CE providers. Conference staff will be available to assist those who may experience difficulty with the application technology and computers will be available for those who do not have a compatible mobile device.
* Participants seeking nursing credits will be directed to a separate website hosted by the Mississippi Nurses' Association (MNA) to register and complete the session evaluations. Course evaluation forms are identical and information will be reviewed and compared with other completed evaluations.
Social Workers
The University of Mississippi Medical Center, The MIND Center DPS#SWB220001, is approved as a provider for continuing education by the Mississippi Board of Examiners for Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists; Approval Period: January 7, 2024 – January 7, 2026. Social workers may receive up to 13.0 continuing education clock hours in participating in this course.
(Clinical__/Supervision__/Cultural Competency up to 2.0*_/Ethics ____/General up to 12.0* /Mandatory Reporting__). *The number of Cultural Competency and General hours is determined by which breakout sessions participants choose to attend. Approval # 25-03.
Nurses
Mississippi Nurses' Association – The Mississippi Nurses' Association is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
* Participants seeking nursing credits will be directed to a separate website hosted by the Mississippi Nurses' Association (MNA) to register and complete the session evaluations. Course evaluation forms from MNA and Conference Planners are identical. Reports will be reviewed among the conference planning team during the post-event debrief. Results from evaluation summaries will inform planning for future educational events.
Nursing Home Administrators
This activity has been approved for up to 13.0 continuing education hours by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing Home Administrators, approval # 2609.
Occupational Therapists
Planning forms have been submitted with the Mississippi Department of Health Division of Professional Licensure.
Physical Therapists
This activity has been approved for up to 13.0 clinical continuing competence units (CCUs) as certified activities for licensure renewal purposes for the July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 licensure period by the Mississippi State Board of Physical Therapy.
Speech Language Pathologists/Audiologists
Planning forms have been submitted to the Mississippi Department of Health Division of Professional Licensure.
Mental Health Disciplines Credit: Mississippi Department of Mental Health
Region 8 Mental Health Services may provide DMH-approved CEs to anyone who is certified or licensed through the Department of Mental Health, Division of PLACE. One CE hour is equivalent to 60 minutes spent face-to-face with a qualified instructor.

Certificate of Attendance
A Certificate of Attendance may be provided to conference participants who need to show record of attendance but are not registering for CEs under the disciplines provided. Participants who request a Certificate of Attendance are required to check in daily through the Conference Attendee Hub mobile application and complete session evaluations at the conclusion of each session.
